In 1965, we (Rochester, NY) tore down this New York Central Train Station.- Postcard above, and photo below.
It was replaced with the building below!
Why do we do these things?
This blog was originally going to be pretty much devoted to stuff about Louise's Daughter - our business -- but it has evolved into observations and pictures gleaned from our life.... but I guess life is where our artwork comes from!

I remember seeing these old photos in books on Rochester history and wondered myself why would anyone get rid of something so lovely in favor of institutional and depressing. No foresight obviously. They did the same thing here in Schenectady...but if you can believe it the "new" station is not even as nice as the one in Rochester currently.
