Pumpkin Soup
Not sure I every knowlingly ate something from Hungary? Paprika - Kathryn tells us she got it at a market stall that sold nothing but paprika! And I thought it was just that orange powder stuff in the McCormick tin can! If you don't recognize it, those bright red threads are paprika. And the soup the threads are floating on was delicious!

Uhhh...this foodie thinks those are saffron threads, not paprika!
whatever it was, it was good soup!
Nope - it is paprika - Kathy bought it directly at a farmer's market kind of place in Hungary - entire booth was various forms of paprika - I thought it was saffron at first too, but not ---- it actually seemed longer and a bit "stronger", (not flavor - breakability?), and thicker than saffron. Also, given the price of saffron, I would think there would have been about $50 worth in our 7 cups of soup!
