Wedding!

Went to a great wedding last weekend. The groom has been a friend of ours since he was about 5 or so. Actually he knew Casey and Cheryl before I did! Lucas and Debra planned this wedding down to the last detail! I think they included pretty much every tradition in the ceremony. They jumped the broom, they lit the candles, they planted the bulbs, they broke the glass, they were wrapped in a Scottish tartan. On the food end, all the food and drink was locally produced and grown. They even grew and harvested their own potatoes! The cake above was wheat free and vegan from a little bakery around the corner from here! And the cake topper was made by local artists Cheryl and Don Olney! ;-)

Below a view of my locally grown fresh salad!

Look closely at the silverware for a reflection of the lattice ceiling of the pavilion
at Emerson Park in Auburn, NY.

I think they are good and truly wedded, and we wish them all the best!

And believe it or not, we can plant the invitation in the garden next spring and have fresh flowers!

Thank you so much for sharing this. I am always in awe of people who manage to celebrate their whole day with locally grown and produced food. It so lovely to read that the invitation too will produce flowers.

All in all it sounds like it was a beautiful day.
