Oh my gosh......are you ready for weeks of NOISE? I had an alley scraped up and repaved last year. I thot they would never finish! The noise of dropping all that old cement into the dump trucks was unbelievable, not to mention the sound of the air hammers breaking it up.
I think this is just a scrape down and re-surface process. Last two summers they replaced gas lines, set new curbs, etc. That was the noisy time! http://louisesdaughter.blogspot.com/2007/07/so-you-thought-you-were-going-grocery.html
